Quintana Biffert Bio Quintana Biffert is 20 years old & has been singing since eight years of age. She has performed for many special events in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Montana. She has been traveling and performing locally since age 12.
Her first talent show was at the age of eight where she placed first singing Shania Twain’s, “Honey, I’m Home”. She won second place at the age of 12, in a Colgate Country Showdown (CCS) in 2004. She sang on Loretta Lynn's stage in 2005 at her ranch. Biffert won first place at the Bottineau County Fair where she opened for Carolyn Dawn Johnson in 2004 at the age of twelve. Quintana also opened for the Bellamy Brothers in August of 2008 in Garrison, ND; 32 Below in Mandan, ND and others.
She is a former 2006 local first place Colgate Showdown winner in Wolf Point, Montana; a ND State Fair Talent Contest first place winner in 2006, In June of 2007 she placed second in a CCS in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Quintana was a featured performer at the Medora Musical, in Medora North Dakota in July of 2007. She was also a featured performer at Praise on the Prairie (POP) in Beulah, North Dakota the same year.
The 18 year old has been one of the featured performers, at the Adolph Burkhardt Country Western Concert in Medora for three years in a row. She has recorded in Nashville and Branso, and is preparing to record again in Branson in October, making it her third cd. Quintana has performed at the famous Tootsie’s in downtown Nashville and Legend's Corner. She was able to perform at John A’s near Opry Land Mills, where she met the legendary Vern "the voice" Gosdin (2007). Her CD is entitled, “DREAM” and is $15.00.
After hearing her sing at Praise on the Prairie in 2007, R.C. Reynolds of the band Desert Reign invited her to sing at the Country Gospel Music Association (CGMA) in Ridgway, Colorado. Reynolds is the Regional Chairman of the western region of CGMA. In May of 2008 in Colorado, Quintana was awarded the Silver Heart Award of 2008 Teen Performer of the Year, and 2008 Yodeler of the Year by her peers at the CGMA. Quintana just returned from Branson, Missouri where she and her parents attended the International Convention of the CGMA.
While there, she represented the western division in two categories, Teenager Performer and Yodeler. After singing three nights, just one song to showcase their talents, all artists are voted on by their peers, who are members of CGMA. On awards night which was October 18, Quintana was voted as the 2008 Golden Heart Award recipient for International Teenage Performer of the Year, and 2008 Golden Heart Award recipient for International Yodeler of the Year. CGMA has 5500 members, with over 4000 of them being in the United States.
Awards are given in 39 categories, which cover all areas of music and ministry. Quintana is proud to be a member of CGMA, as are her parents. It was a wonderful experience, and is one more stepping stone to help Quintana pursue her goals in life. Biffert is now platinum with the CGMA.Quintana hopes to one day to be a Country Western Singer and Performer.
One of her favorite things to do is to sing for benefits to help people out. Quintana loves riding her horse Joker, and spending time with her family and friends. PS...Quintana was once again named the 2009 International Teenage Performer of the Year and the 2009 International Yodeler of the Year by the Country Gospel Music Association for the second year in a row, receiving the Golden Heart Awards. The awards were awarded on October 24th in Branson, Missouri.
UPDATE: Quintana was again named the western region 2010 Teenage Performer of the Year, and the 2010 Yodeler of the Year for the CGMA on June 26 in Chadron Nebraska. She goes back to Branson in October to participate in the same two categories, representing the western division at the International Convention.
If CGMA members name her their International Teenage Performer and International Yodeler of the year for 2010, it will be her third year and she will then be platinum. Awards are not the most important thing in this business Quintana has said. "But, it is nice to be recognized for what God has given me," she added.
