About Alyssa Freeman Fourteen year old Alyssa Freeman sings with a voice that will cause you to stop what you are doing and listen. She has been dancing and singing since she was only two years old. Went to her first concert, LeAnn Rimes, at the age of four and from that day on she said that she wanted to be on that big stage like LeAnn, performing. At age 6 Alyssa won Entertainer of The Year on her first vocal competition in the pageants. At the tender age of 7 her MiMi was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Alyssa wanted to do something special for her so during the Little League football game that her Dad was coaching at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. They let her put on her Dallas Cowboys mini Cheerleader outfit and danced by herself in the field at Texas Stadium. She was given a standing ovation, afterward taking the taped halftime event to Mimi in the hospital. Later that same year she lost Mimi to cancer. Sissy Rowland began coaching Alyssa, teaching her to develop her own style, even at such a young age. Her first Opry audition was the Wylie Opry. At the end of the show as people were leaving, Alyssa began singing Patsy Cline songs to audition and the people returned to their seats to hear her. The rest is history! She began performing at Oprys such as the Mesquite Opry, Ellis County Opry, Johnnie High, Grapevine, interviewed with Billy and April on the Bill Mack Show, Garland Opry, Opened for Jolie Holliday, Wylie Opry, Main Street Showcase and other events such as the Relay for Life, Disabled Veterans Convention where she sang the National Anthem, local Holiday events, and Children’s Hospitals. She is currently selecting songs for her debut CD. She is a seasoned recording artist in the Opry circuit in Texas. Her site is currently under construction and songs will be added in a few days. Her official independent website will be up soon!
