Australian's Two Time Golden Guitar winner Dianna Corcoran is on tour with her brilliant album "Then There's Me"
Released January 13th 2007 on Compass Brothers Records /Sony BMG and debuting at 8 on the ARIA charts for sales in it's first week"Then There's Me" follows Dianna's 2003 debut "Little Bit Crazy" and showcases her pristine soprano and distinctive song writing talents. Dianna wrote the majority of the material on the album which was produced by Compass Bros label boss, Graham Thompson.
Drawing on inspiration from love, life and her family, the songs on Then There's Me have evolved naturally over the period between albums as she honed her song writing skills and refined her direction. The result combines her bright, fun edge that showed such promise on her debut, with broader themes and sounds.
Dianna was born and raised in Parkes in the Central West of New South Wales. She spent her childhood on motorbikes, horses and driving around the country with her parents performing at talent quests. In 2003 she recorded her self financed debut album "Little Bit Crazy" which was picked up by Compass Brothers Records after label head Graham Thompson heard her on Saturday Night Country. "I was sitting at home one Saturday night in 2003 planning our releases for the following year and turned the radio on to listen to John Nutting", remembers Thompson. "The first thing I heard was this amazing voice that I didn't recognise. I immediately called Johnno who put me in touch with Dianna and we signed her as soon as we could. It was one of those beautiful little twists of fate that can be so pivotal in the career of an artist or a label.
It's taken some time for us to get this album just the way we want it but I really believe that Dianna's fans will agree that it's been worth the wait". It was worth the wait, "Then There's Me" Has just earned Dianna the Title of "Female Artist of the Year" for 2008!
